MISSION 290 - BRISBANE / SYDNEY
MISSION 293 - CAIRNS/SYDNEY
MISSION 309 - SYDNEY/CAIRNS

It all started with an emergency transfer from Cooktown to Brisbane by the RFDS for twelve year old Mandal-Kala who had a brain tumour. Mandal-Kala was accompanied by her twenty year old sister Pietrina as carer/companion.

Given the long distances to travel Angel Flight booked and paid for commercial flights for the family members involved with Mandal-Kala's fight for life.

Mission 290 - Brisbane/Sydney (Virgin Blue)
After initial emergency treatment in Brisbane Mandal-Kala was in a fit condition to travel to the Sydney Children's Hospital where she is underwent life saving brain surgery. Angel Flight arranged this transfer for Mandal-Kala and her sister.

Mission 293 - Cairns/Sydney (Jetstar)
With dad Pieter and another sister, NGungjul-Anne stranded in Cooktown, unable to finance the trip to Sydney to be with Mandal-Kala, Angel Flight booked seats on a Jetstar flight to unite the family in Sydney.      

Mission 309 - Sydney/Cairns (Virgin Blue)
Angel Flight purchased a ticket with Virgin Blue for Mandal-Kala to return home almost a month later. Dad and NGungjul-Anne had the funds to purchase their own tickets on the same flight. Pietrina returned home shortly after Mandal-Kala's operation.
