A family from Quirindi NSW has two children with gastro oesophageal reflux disease and chronic gut dysmotility. This mission both children attended various appointments at the Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick.

Letter from the mother:
To all our friends at Angel Flight.

We have been blessed to be part of the Angel Flight family for some time now and have definitely become one of the 'frequent flyers'.
We live in Quirindi on a small farm in the North West NSW. Both my children have a chronic illness - GORD (Gastro Oesophageal Reflux Disease) and chronic dismotility of their gut and bowel. Management of their condition entails many trips to Sydney and this was taking its toll on our family both emotionally and financially after six years of surgery and treatment.

We were told of Angel Flight from our social worker and have had many trips to and from Sydney since then. There have been some special pilots along the way and many Earth Angels that we are proud to call our friends...these wonderful people even call to see how Madeleine and Hunter are after surgery.

I have tried hard to instil a sense of gratitude in my children and they never fail to say thankyou to the pilots and Earth Angels with a card and a bottle of Daddy's honey.

Both Children made the decision to hold a birthday party for themselves, then sent out invitations to all their friends asking for no presents but could they bring a small donation for the Starlight Foundation and Angel Flight.

I was so proud of them and they both gave a little speech about what Starlight and Angel Flight means to them.

A week or so later we received a beautiful card and a donation from Mrs Margaret Redgrove who had been to a probus meeting where Ron Lake was a guest speaker, talking about Angel Flight.
Ron is one of our 'Special' pilots and his speech touched the hearts of all the ladies at Probus, especially Margaret (who is the grandmother of one of Madeleine's friends). Ron talked about the Lawson family and Margaret wished to add her help to Hunter's fundraising.

So I wish to forward Hunter's donation and to thank all from the bottom of our hearts for all you do for our family.

Kylie Grunes is a most beautiful lady who always goes above and beyond to help our family. She is our Angel!
