Marjorie Pagani - CEO

An integral and founding member of Angel Flight, Marjorie has served as CEO since 2015, and as a practicing barrister, has supported Angel Flight pro bono since 2003, specialising in aviation law. Also holding a  commercial pilots license, Marjorie was one of the first volunteer pilots at Angel Flight. Marjorie’s career includes presiding roles on the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Tribunal, Queensland Mental Health Review Tribunal, and North Queensland Parole Board, as well as positions on various government and private boards. A retired Squadron Leader in the RAAF’s specialist legal corps reserve, she also serves on the James Cook University Council. Marjorie has been the driving force behind the 2024 launch of Rural Medi Flights, a dedicated air service for health professionals, with plans for national expansion.

Paul- Rural Medi-Flights Chief Pilot

Paul began flying at the age of 16 with the Royal Queensland Aero Club, later achieving his Commercial Pilot Licence and Instructor Rating. From 1980, he worked as a flying instructor at Archerfield before joining QANTAS in 1984. Over his distinguished airline career, Paul gained command in 1991 on the Boeing 767 and went on to fly the Airbus A380, retiring from QANTAS in 2020.

Paul’s first Angel Flight mission was on 6 March 2018, flying from Archerfield to St George and back. In 2020, he took on the role of Safety Manager for Angel Flight, and in 2024 he was appointed Chief Pilot for Rural Medi- Flights. With 25,000 hours of flying experience, Paul brings a wealth of knowledge, professionalism, and dedication to his role, helping to ensure safe and reliable services for those in need across rural Australia.

Randal- Rural Medi-Flights Pilot

Randal’s passion for aviation took off at just 14 years old with the Air Force Cadets, and by 1999 he had begun his professional flying career on a property in St George.

His connection with Angel Flight began in 2004 whilst serving as Chief Pilot for Oasis Air, Randal volunteered to fly passengers from Halls Creek to the remote Western Australian community of Ringer Soak. Two decades later, in 2024, he was rejoined the team as a Rural Medi-Flights pilot and over the past year has enjoyed flying health professionals across rural and remote Queensland. Bringing with him a wealth of aviation experience, Randal has held senior roles with the Police Airwing, Alliance Airlines, and the Queensland Government Airwing. 

Damon- Angel Flight Operations Manager

Damon is a Senior Airline Transport Pilot with over 20,000 flight hours spanning both airline and general aviation operations. He brings more than 30 years’ experience as Chief Pilot and Check & Training Pilot, with additional expertise as an Examiner, Operations Controller, and Safety Manager. Recognised for leadership, operational excellence, and a strong commitment to aviation safety and training, Damon is an asset to the Angel Flight team.
